MEGADETH Check In From Europe

June 6, 2005

MEGADETH guitarist Glen Drover and drummer Shawn Drover (both also of EIDOLON) have checked in from teh group's European tour. The following messages have been posted in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

Glen Drover: "It was very cool to spend four days in Amsterdam, Holland, as I have never been to this great city before. So between rehearsals and getting over jet-lag, I did do a bit of sight-seeing. Very nice city and I was glad to finally visit (and play a show) here.

"We played our 1st festival show last night (Waldrock) , which was a lot of fun. The crowd was having a great time and the band line-up for this festival was also great. I did manage to watch a few band's before we took the stage, so that was really cool. Watching ACCEPT play 'Fast as a Shark' five feet away from me is always a treat in my book.

"Anyways, things are going great so far out here. I look forword to the rest of this tour and of course, Gigantour!!!!!!!!

Shawn Drover: "Hello there!!!!!! Just thought I would check in with you and let you know all is going well thus far — 2 shows into this tour, and things are now really falling back into place, which is always beneficial.

"We are currently in Stuggart, Germany chilling out. The band and crew just had a great dinner, so now we're all basically readying ourselves for these two Germany shows, and the subsequent mass of festivals heading our way, which I personally enjoy very much — there are a lot of great bands on several of these festivals we are playing, so it's a great bonus to see these bands play and say hello to them as well!!!!!"
